Report: Fish pedicure causes woman to lose toenails

A fish pedicure is a treatment that many women touted as rejuvenating their feet.

But one woman in her 20's says her toenails stopped growing and started falling off!

Fish pedicures involve having small fish nibble on a person's feet while they soak in a tub of warm water.

The toothless carp fish which are plant eaters feast on dead human skin.

But for one woman who got the treatment her toenails stopped growing then started falling off.

She is staying anonymous and has not said where she got the pedicure.

The woman's toenails will likely return, but it will take a long time as nails only grow about one millimeter a month on average.

Fish pedicures are banned in 10 states due to health concerns.
