Rapper Slim 400 shot in Compton

COMPTON, Calif. (FOX11) - Authorities are investigating a shooting involving a well-known rapper and music producer.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Spruce Street around 8:15 p.m. Friday, in response to an "assault with a deadly weapon'' call.

The victim, believed to be Slim 400, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was rushed to an area hospital in fair condition, sheriff's officials said.

Slim 400 is a Compton artist who has worked with YG.

A black vehicle is suspected to have been involved in the assault of the 31-year-old rapper, TMZ reported.
