Preliminary 3.9 magnitude quake shakes the Palm Springs area

(FOX 11) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 struck to the east of Palm Springs Sunday afternoon, according to the USGS.

The quake was centered about 8 miles north-northeast of theThousand Palms area.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
