Power outage briefly knocks out electricity in West LA area

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11 / CNS) - A pre-Thanksgiving power outage knocked out electricity Wednesday to about 2,000 Department of Water and Power customers in West Los Angeles.

The outage, which was reported about 4:30 p.m., was centered in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard and Stoner Avenue, according to the DWP's Ellen Cheng.

Service was restored about 8:40 p.m., according to the DWP.

The cause of the outage was not immediately disclosed.
