Police detain suspect in killing of 2 men in a West Hills park

Authorities Friday identified a man being sought as a suspect in the shooting deaths of two other men on a sports field at Shadow Ranch Park in West Hills.

Ryan Conrad, 27, of North Hollywood was taken into custody in Torrance late Friday afternoon in connection to a deadly shooting on May 22 in the 22600 block of Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

An argument in the parking lot apparently preceded the gunfire, and police said the suspect and victims were known to one another.
