Perceived Threat Against Tesoro High School A Misunderstanding

Orange County sheriff's investigators on Thursday determined not credible a perceived threat against Tesoro High School, whose senior class is scheduled to graduate Thursday night.

The source of the perceived threat was a text-message conversation between two Tesoro High School friends that ended up on social media and was wrongly interpreted as a threat, Orange County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Carrie Braun said.

"It was fully investigated and is not a credible threat," Braun said. "We're working with the school and the district to make sure all students and attendees at the graduation are safe."

Thursday night's graduation ceremony will be at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.
