'Parks And Rec' Co-Executive Producer Found Dead At Home

LOS FELIZ (CNS/FOX 11) - A 30-year-old man who was a producer of the NBC comedy "Parks and Recreation'' was found dead at his Los Feliz home Thursday, the victim of a possible drug overdose, police said.

Harris Wittels was found at about noon by his assistant at his home in the 2200 block of North Hobart Boulevard, said Officer Jane Kim of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Wittels was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

Wittels apparently died of a drug overdose, but that will not be confirmed until the Los Angeles County coroner's office makes a determination, she said.

Wittels was a co-executive producer on "Parks and Recreation'' and produced and wrote for "The Sarah Silverman Program,'' which ran on Comedy Central from 2007-10.
