Overturned tanker carrying milk causes traffic backup on 5 Freeway in Burbank

BURBANK (CNS) - A tanker truck carrying about 6,200 gallons of milk overturned Wednesday on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank, blocking three lanes.

The crash was reported about 5:30 a.m. at Burbank Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported. No other vehicles were involved, and no one was hurt.

Some of the milk spilled onto the roadway, and a section of guardrail was damaged. The effort to clear the scene was expected to extend until early afternoon, the CHP reported.
