One killed in fiery crash on 91 Freeway in Artesia
ARTESIA, Calif. (FOX 11) - One person died in a fiery crash on the 91 Freeway on Wednesday morning in Artesia.
At approximately 2 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the single vehicle collision. Authorities said that for an unknown reason, the vehicle involved went off the freeway, down an embankment where it struck a tree. The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames and the driver did not survive. The deceased driver has yet to be identified.
Shortly after, a second collision was reported at 2:15 a.m. when a motorcycle hit the center divider and then struck the car that hit the tree. The male motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
