Officials on scene of officer-involved shooting on Highway 91

ANAHEIM, Calif. (FOX11) - The California Highway Patrol is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Anaheim.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on the eastbound lane of Highway 91 near Kraemer Blvd.

Early reports indicate that the suspect's vehicle crashed into a Fullerton Police K9 unit.

According to Anaheim police a female suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to a hospital.

Police say the 91 freeway is under a complete closure. Traffic has been backed up for miles.
