Mother, aunt plead not guilty to missing Apple Valley 6-year-old's murder

The mother and aunt of a missing Southern California boy have pleaded not guilty to murder charges.

Jackee Contreras, 29, and her sister Jennifer Contreras, 29, were arraigned Tuesday in San Bernardino County Superior Court in Victorville.

Sheriff's detectives, meanwhile, are searching a Mojave Desert landfill where they believe the body of 6-year-old Duke Flores is buried.

Authorities have not said what they believe happened to the Apple Valley boy. The women have been jailed since last week. Both were being held on $1,000,000 bail.

Their next court appearance is scheduled for May 13.
