Missing 91-year-old man with Alzheimer's reunited with family

Police on Sunday announced that a 91-year-old World War II veteran suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia, who went missing Wednesday while driving in the Mount Washington area, has been reunited with his family.

Apolonio Gomez was found and reunited with his family on Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Gomez was last seen Wednesday in the 5500 block of Marmion Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. His status had been upgraded to critically missing by the LAPD.

A Silver Alert had been issued for help in finding Gomez, who was driving a silver 2013 Honda Accord with California license plates 6YGH760.
