Missing 10-year-old Long Beach girl found safe

UPDATE: Detectives were able to learn the whereabouts of 10-year-old Leilani Sucess Collins on Saturday afternoon with the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department, the missing child was located.

Collins was found safe in the 500 block of West 77th Street is the City of Los Angeles at approximately 12:40 p.m.

Police on Saturday circulated a photo of a 10-year-old girl who went missing in Long Beach.  

Leilani Sucess Collins, who suffers from some medical conditions and may lose focus easily, was last seen about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard, the Long Beach Police Department reported.  

"Collins ran away in the past and was located riding the Metro train, as she is familiar with the bus and Metro train transportation system," police said.  

Collins was described as a 4-foot-tall Black girl weighing 60 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white three-fourth sleeve length shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

She has pink and white braided hair.  

The LBPD's Missing Persons Detail urges anyone with information regarding Collins' whereabouts to call them at 562-435-6711.
