Military ships arrive to port of Los Angeles in preparation for Fleet Week
SAN PEDRO, Calif. (FOX 11) - It’s time for the 4th annual L.A. Fleet Week. The family-fun event kicks off Friday in San Pedro and goes till Labor Day.
The event honors and celebrates the service men and woman at sea. Six ships arrived to the Los Angeles port Thursday afternoon in preparation of the weekend-long event.
Visitors will be able to take tours of military ships, meet military members, view outdoor and indoor exhibits and of course enjoy food and watch concerts. The event will also feature an aircraft flyover.
Fleet Week is free and open to the public.
