Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' is no longer the most-played Christmas song

Christmas time means mall Santas, controversial Starbucks red cups and Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" being played over and over -- and over again.



However, the iconic 1994 jam has been dethroned from its top spot of most-played Christmas songs.

According to PlayNetwork, who compiles the seasonal playlists for hundreds of retailers, The Shins' cover of Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" will be the song you'll hear most while out shopping for gifts.
