Man rams vehicle into Hawthorne police station
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (FOX 11) - A man police believe was either intoxicated or having a mental episode rammed his mini-Cooper through the front doors of the Hawthorne police station at 12501 Hawthorne Boulevard Thursday night.
Police say the man was able to squeeze his vehicle through the poles in front of the front doors of the station. The incident happened at about 9 p.m.
No injuries were reported but the front entrance of the station was damaged.
The man was taken into custody. Police did not immediately release additional information.
