Man found fatally stabbed at park in Riverside prompts investigation

Riverside police are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday afternoon at Shamel Park located at 3650 Arlington Avenue.

First responders found a male victim suffering from a stab wound after authorities received 911 calls reporting a man bleeding on the ground, police said.

Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will not be released until his family has been notified.

Detectives continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly stabbing. No suspect or suspects description is available at this time.
