Man arrested in connection with deadly stabbing at popular restaurant in Malibu
MALIBU, Calif. (FOX 11) - A suspect has been arrested, accused of murdering a man outside a popular restaurant in Malibu Saturday night.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office a group of car enthusiast met in the parking lot of Neptune's Net after the restaurant closed.
Officials say the suspect, 30-year-old Daniel Maldonado, got into a dispute with a 23-year-old man over a previously unresolved issue, the incident then escalated into a physical fight, at which time Maldonado took out a knife and stabbed the victim several times.

Witnesses called 911 a little after 10:55 p.m. and paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Maldonado was located nearby and taken into custody. He's been booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $500,000.00 bail.

Neptune's Net is a popular seafood restaurant that opened in the 1950's and has been featured in the movies, "Fast & Furious,'' "Iron Man 3'' and "Point Break.''
