Lyft partners with Taco Bell to enable late-night snacking for riders

How many times have you been riding in an Uber or Lyft and had the craving for a late-night snack, but already set your destination to 'home?'

Well, thanks to Lyft and Taco Bell, you can soon make that desire a reality with ease.

The ride-share app is partnering with the fast-foot restaurant chain for 'Taco Mode,' allowing passengers to stop at a Taco Bell while en route to their destination.

In a press release, Lyft says: "Taco Mode is an in-app option for Lyft riders, providing passengers with the ultimate Taco Bell experience -- including a free Doritos Locos Taco when you ride-thru Taco Bell on the way to your next destination."

The in-app option is rolling out first in Orange County, California beginning Thursday, July 27- Sunday, July 30 and then August 3-7 between 9PM-2AM.

Lyft says it plans to expand in other areas later this year and nationwide in 2018.
