LA's Most Wanted: Shooting death of security guard Hernán Cardona

Hernán Cardona was murdered on Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Auto Zone on Washington Boulevard at Western Avenue where he worked as a security guard.

Cardona was in the store's parking lot assisting a customer who was having battery problems when two men walked up and shot him in the chest. Even though Cardona was wounded, he tried to chase the men who shot him. He died a short time later.

There is no doubt that the killers have bragged about what they did. It is also likely that there were witnesses in and around the Auto Zone store who can identify the killers.

Anyone with any information about the murder of Hernán Cardona, no matter how seemingly insignificant it may be, should contact homicide detectives at the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Division at (213) 486-6896 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-TIPS.
