LA's Most Wanted: Shooting death of Jermaine Williams

Police need the public's help to catch the person responsible for the shooting death of Jermaine Williams.

Williams, 33, was shot and killed Feb. 26 near South Western Avenue and West 42nd Street in Vermont Square.

Investigators said Williams' daughter was born the day after he was killed.

After leaving Buffalo Wild Wings, police said Williams was driving with a woman when a white SUV with paper plates pulled up beside them. Someone inside the SUV fired multiple rounds into Williams' car before fleeing.

Both Williams and the woman were injured.

Williams was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The woman survived, police said.
