Largest cheetah litter delivered at San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo Global released a new video on YouTube showing the largest cheetah litter ever delivered at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's breeding center.

Addison, an 8-year-old cheetah, gave birth to six cubs back in November of 2015. Zoo officials say that the litter is above average for cheetahs, and were only expecting 3 to 4 cubs in the zoo's birthing center.

Addison's last litter had only four cubs, so this litter was a pleasant surprise to zoo officials.

Zoo officials say that the cubs will stay with their mother for a year before possibly going to other cheetah sites to help bolster the population as it is estimated that there are only 10,000 cheetahs left in the world today.
