Jazzmin takes center stage in hopes of a new family

It's that time of the year again -- award season ... and with it comes lots of glitz, glamour and all that jazz. And this year, it comes with our very own Jazzmin (2001) as she works the room at Doris Bergman's 8th Annual Valentine Romance Oscar Style Lounge & Party.

And while she may not be aiming for an acting award, Jazzmin is a teen who already knows she someday wants to help others by sharing (in some format or forum) her journey in the foster care system.

Jazzmin is approachable and personable and had no problem mingling with celebs and vendors alike in the gifting lounge. And while Jazzmin was already displaying her pretty smile, she was happy to visit with Dr. Ahn of The Center for Aesthetic Dentistry and Sleep & Wellness to discuss some future teeth whitening. And like many of us, Jazzmin likes listening to music - including classic rock -- so she was jazzed about meeting Aussie singer/songwriter/musician Laura Wilde as well as to learn about Laura's own herbal "tea-tox" for the mind and body.

Jazzmin is in high school and struggles a bit academically at times, but she is determined to improve her grades. She would benefit from a supportive learning environment and a family that could provide continued pathways to building her self-esteem. Jazzmin is currently considering becoming a counselor as a career option.

Jazzmin wants a family to call her own and all that comes along with being part of a family, but also wants to maintain some of the important connections that are already established in her life.
