Investigation underway after woman found dead in Westminster hotel room

WESTMINSTER (FOX 11 / CNS) - A woman was found dead in a room at a hotel in Westminster, and her death was being investigated as an apparent homicide, police said Tuesday.

The body of the woman, in her 20s, was discovered about 11 p.m. Monday at the Quality Inn & Suites, in the 6600 block of Westminster Boulevard, Westminster police said.

The woman's name was withheld, pending family notification.

Detectives were investigating the death as an apparent homicide, but information on her cause of her death was not being disclosed, police said. No arrests were immediately reported.
