Georgia girl makes 'Blessing Bags' for the homeless

Trinity Rose of Winder, Georgia just turned 9-years-old and her only wish for her birthday this year was to make "Blessing Bags" for those in need this holiday season.

"We were planning her birthday party and she turned to me and said that she did not want any gifts, but that she wanted to do something for someone else," said Jessica Evans, mother of Trinity. "That is how the idea started."

Each bag that Trinity has put together contains: Gospel of John, wipes, ponchos, pad of paper, tissues, package of vitamin C drops, socks, floss picks, toothbrush and holder, toothpaste, band aids, comb, nail file, pen, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, and mints. Currently, Trinity has put together over 30 bags to donate to the homeless and less fortunate. The family is working with their local police department to pass out the bags.

"It is such a blessing to see little ones wanting to give to those in need," said Nicole Baker, Trinity's Aunt.

Each bag costs about $15.00. If you would like to donate money or items for Trinity's "Blessing Bags" you can contact Jessica Evans at 678-697-5226 or drop off your items at Southern Roots Antique Shop in Statham, Georgia.

Trinity is also collecting warm coats and jackets as donations to hand out with her "Blessing Bags."
