Future Concert Back On At House Of Blues

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A rapper's planned free concert at a West Hollywood nightclub drew a crowd of fans that forced the closure of a stretch of Sunset Boulevard today, prompting organizers to later cancel the show, but now will take place at The House Of Blues at 10pm.

The several hundred fans who showed up for the show by rapper Future spilled into the street outside the Roxy Theatre at 9009 Sunset Blvd. and forced the closure just before 1 p.m. of the famed Sunset Strip between Doheny Road and San Vicente Boulevard, according to the sheriff's department.

The venue announced via Twitter about 4 p.m. that the show had been canceled. By then, deputies had gotten the crowd onto the sidewalk.

The closed portion of Sunset Boulevard was reopened about 4:40 p.m. After the crowd had dispersed, Future announced via Twitter and Instagram that his show would take place at the nearby House of Blues at 8430 Sunset Blvd., beginning at 10 p.m.

According to his post, the first 800 people "to line up at the venue are guaranteed entrance."
