FOX 11 News IN DEPTH: From facing fires to fighting homelessness


SEGMENT ONE: We start FOX 11 News IN DEPTH this week with a plea from firefighters to homeowners and hear from a firefighter who lost his home in the Thomas fire. That retired Asst. Ventura Co. Fire Chief Andy Ortega is joined by Ventura County Division Chief Jeff Shea who was on the first two nights of the extremely damaging Thomas fire.
They provide personal stories and important information we all should know about being prepared in light of what the Ventura County Fire Chief has said could potentially be as bad if not worse than 2017 which has gone down on record as THE worst fire season.

SEGMENT TWO: We take a deeper look at how the homeless crisis is being attacked on various levels. Guests include Elise Buik - President and CEO of United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Veronica Lewis who is the director of SSG Hopics... a homeless services provider that works in South LA and District Two Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian.
