Former wrestling star Chyna's brain donated to CTE research
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - The brain of former wrestling star Chyna has been donated to CTE research.
Joan Marie Laurer was found dead in her Redondo Beach apartment last Wednesday. She was 46.
While there was no indication of foul play, police have yet to determine the cause of death.
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy or CTE is believed to be caused by repeated blows to the head.
It can only be diagnosed after death.
Dozens of football players who died have been diagnosed with CTE, including Ken Stabler and Junior Seau.
