RIVERSIDE, Calif. (FOX 11) - Talk about a Mother's Day to remember!
Jeremy Roberts is a Fire Engineer with the City of Riverside Fire Department, and early on Saturday morning of Mother's Day weekend, he and his wife found themselves in a unique situation.
Roberts was driving his wife Kirsten to the hospital to deliver the couple's first daughter, when they realized the baby wasn't going to wait.
When they realized that baby Adeline had other plans, Roberts remembered the training he received as a paramedic. He pulled over to the side of the road and delivered their baby girl in the front seat of his own truck.
The family then made is safely to Loma Linda Hospital in Menifee. Jeremy, Kirsten, baby Adeline and big brother Hudson are all doing great.
Officials at Riverside Fire Department say this will go down as the 'craziest, unique, dramatic, and most "special" call of his career.'
