Fire rips through Huntington Park storage facility

Flames shot out of a Huntington Park storage facility for a discount merchandise store Monday morning.

It took crews more than an hour to get a handle on the fire. But no one went inside the building.

"Due to the structure there is a partial collapse on the other side of the building as well. We don't want to take the chance of risking any life. If there was life in there, we would make an aggressive attack to go inside," said L.A. County Fire Inspector David Dantic.

Investigators still haven't determined how the fire started.

Firefighters say one firefighter was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
