The investigation into the gunman Stephen Paddock's motive and planning took an unexpected turn one week after he opened fire killing 58 people and injuring 489 others at a concert in Las Vegas last Sunday evening.

The FBI searched the shooter's home in Mesquite, Nevada for a second time.

Officals say the feds executed this new federal search warrant after speaking with Paddock's live-in-girlfriend, Marilou Danley.

Investigators at the home could be seen searching several rooms while photographing and processing what is presumably new evidence.

Officials are tight-lipped about what they found during this second search.
