Fatal stabbing at South LA Metro station
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CNS/ FOX 11) - Due to the investigation into a fatal stabbing Thursday night, the Metro Green Line Avalon Station in South Los Angeles remains closed Friday for an unknown duration.
Metro said it has set up a bus bridge between its stations in Harbor Gateway and Willowbrook to help commuters get around the closure.
The stabbing was reported at the station at 9:53 p.m. Thursday, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Responding deputies found the victim dead at the scene. The suspect is a male Hispanic about 5 feet 5, according to reports.
