Ex-tenant barricades himself at Hollywood home, LAPD says

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police are working to coax out an ex-tenant that returned to his former home and barricaded himself in the Hollywood area Monday morning, authorities said.
LAPD says the man, described only as a Hispanic male in his 50s, locked himself inside the home located in the 5800 block of W. Willoughby Avenue near Gower Street, and is known to carry a weapon.
Police were called out shortly before 11:30 a.m. and officers were eventually joined by the SWAT team.
The immediate area is taped off and the public should avoid the area.
No further details were immediately known. The investigation is ongoing.
