Elton John Biopic 'Rocketman' hits theaters Friday
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A new biographical film that focuses on the life, love, and longevity of Elton John will premiere in theaters nationwide on Friday.
The movie, titled "Rocketman," is a musical fantasy from start to finish.
Taron Egerton plays the role of Elton, and FOX 11's Amanda Salas sat down with him in Elton John's hometown of London to talk about living the life of Sir Elton John.
"I told him that 'people are going to start calling you Taron EgerJOHN after seeing this film,'" Salas recalled. "His performance did not disappoint!"
Egerton is known for his singing and dancing, but what many people don't know is that he does an outstanding Chewbacca from Star Wars impression, which he demonstrated during his interview with Salas.
The movie's star also shared that aside from Elton John, his other favorite rock music comes from David Bowie and The Arctic Monkeys.
"You don't want to miss Paramount Pictures latest and greatest. Rocketman is a good time at the theater. I dare you to not to sing along," Salas said.
