Detectives investigating an officer-involved shooting in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif. (FOX 11) - A male suspect was shot by police in an alleyway off Harbor Boulevard on Friday in Anaheim.
Just before 11 a.m., the Anaheim Police Department tweeted that the officer-involved shooting occurred near the 800 block of N. Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim.
Officers had contacted a suspicious male at the location at 10:43 a.m., police said. The suspect was allegedly uncooperative and officers called for emergency backup, shortly before broadcasting that the officer-involved shooting had occurred.
The unidentified suspect was shot at least once and taken to an area hospital, police said. No officers were injured.
All lanes of Harbor Boulevard were shut down between W. Sycamore Street and La Palma Avenue as police investigated.
