Dear Taylor Swift, will you go to prom with this San Marino HS student?
(FOX 11) - Come on,Taylor Swift! How can you watch this video of 17-year-old Anthony Rodela and not want to go to prom with him?
I can personally attest to his appeal. I met him Wednesday and at first he shook my hand, but then he insisted on a hug! He's a charmer, spirited and just won first place in the Special Olympics 100 yard dash.
He's also the assistant football manager at San Marino High School. The team dubbed him the "good luck charm" because with him they had a 15-1 season!
I asked him to sing one of his favorite songs, and he did a stellar job of singing "Shake it Off." Surely, you wouldn't want this young, impressionable man to be so disappointed, HE'D have to Shake it Off.
And, let's be frank. You are an older, more experienced woman. Perhaps, some might find it inappropriate for you to go to a high school prom and hang with a 17-year-old. But Lisa Rodela, Tony's mom, is all in favor of you being her baby's prom date.
If making a young man's "Wildest Dream" come true isn't reason enough to join him May 14. Consider this -- the San Marino prom will be at the historic Santa Anita Racetrack. It's been running races since 1934. And, remember the movie "Seabiscuit?" You'll find a full size bronze replica of Seabiscuit at the racetrack to commemorate the horse's momentous win.
Come on! Don't leave a "Blank Space" on his Twitter page.
You're not "Out of the Woods" or "Safe and Sound" until you give him some kind of an answer.
I'd hate to think there'd be any "Bad Blood" between you and this special young guy if his big night comes and goes without some word from you!
