Crews repair 12-inch water main break in Long Beach

Crews with Long Beach Water had to repair a 12-inch water main break in the 1800 block of Studebaker Road on Wednesday.

The water main break was first reported around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night on Studebaker Road under the San Diego Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officials say that six water services were affected.

The on- and off-ramps to and from the San Diego Freeway were closed to allow crews to make repairs.

Mud and debris cover part of the road and at least 150 feet of asphalt buckled due to the flooding.

The water main break was repaired and all roads were reopened by 6 a.m. Thursday.
