Crews battle brush fire near 118 Freeway in Moorpark

Emergency crews responded to a fast-moving brush fire Saturday afternoon along the 118 Freeway in Moorpark.

The fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. near the Princeton overpass. According to the Ventura County Fire Department's Facebook page, the fire had burned 40 to 50 acres by 3 p.m. with multiple structures threatened.

Officials said a northeast wind was quickly pushing the fire to the southwest.
