Cast of 'The Umbrella Academy' discusses new Netflix show

What is Marvel-esque meets Modern Family-esque meets My Chemical Romance? Well, that would be the new Superhero series, "The Umbrella Academy" on Netflix.

It was created by My Chemical Romance's Frontman Gerard Way, who is also a Comic book Writer.

The series stars Mary J. Blige and Ellen Page. The plot consists of a dysfunctional family of superheroes that come together to solve the mystery of their father's death, the threat of the apocalypse, and more.

Fox 11's Amanda Salas sat down with the cast in Los Angeles to ask them if they feel cooler being a part of a series under the "Superhero" genre.

Mary J. Blige said that she felt "next level." Not many people can say they are in the Superhero category.

The cast bonded over playing family and shooting in cold Toronto. However, you can't spell "umbrella" without "LA" -- so what does The Umbrella Academy cast like to do for fun in the City of Angels when they are not busy working?

Ellen Page likes a good hike, Mary J. Blige likes working out, and one cast member enjoys a "pony ride around Griffith Park."

The Umbrella Academy is streaming now on Netflix!
