Brush fire near Eagle Rock 100% contained, fire officials say

A brush fire near Eagle Rock was fully contained on Tuesday afternoon, officials said. 

The brush fire burned more than 45 acres, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire erupted Sunday afternoon and threatened homes in the Glenoaks Canyon area. Evacuations were placed and eventually lifted for residents in the area. 

The fire also prompted temporary freeway closures.

A firefighter was hurt, however, the extent of his injuries were not disclosed. No other injuries were reported.
