Atlanta Police welcomes "I DONUT need a reason to THANK a cop" campaign
ATLANTA - Tyler Carach, just 8 years old, started his "I Donut Need a Reason to Thank Cops" campaign with the goal of thanking as many police officers as possible by giving them a doughnut.
His goal: to give a donut and thank you to every single cop in America. Tyler has currently distributed over 1000 donuts to the men and women in blue, but his biggest event to date will be held in Atlanta.
Tyler turned 9-years-old Friday and he has asked to celebrate his birthday by thanking cops and celebrating their service. With the help of his sponsor, Krispy Kreme, Tyler will be hosting an event "Birthday with the Blue" for Atlanta Police Department distributing over 2000 donuts.
"With Tyler's birthday being that weekend, he wanted nothing more than to spend a day thanking first responders for their commitment to protecting and serving their community, "said Sheena Carach, Tyler Carach's mother.
"Tyler has done many events since launching his campaign, but this is the most doughnuts we will have donated so far and we are thrilled to honor these men and women."
