At least 14 people injured in two-vehicle crash in Lancaster

At least 14 people were injured, including four critically, in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday in Lancaster that involved a passenger van and another vehicle, a county fire captain said.

Firefighters and paramedics were at the scene in Lancaster, in the area of 60th Street West and Avenue F, where a two-vehicle crash involving a passenger van and another vehicle has yielded 14 patients including four critical, said Capt. Brian Jordan of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Investigators say there were 12 people in the white van headed to see the Lancaster poppies when the Mini-Cooper and van collided.

One person was thrown from the vehicle.

Two victims had to be extricated from the wreckage.
