Castaneda's crime spree began with a reported burglary just after 4 p.m. at the same apartment complex where he lived and ended with his arrest at about 6:26 p.m., according to investigators.

Police said the suspect and three of the slain victims are all Hispanic men and said robbery appeared to be the primary motive for the attacks but that could change as new evidence is collected in this ongoing investigation.
