3 members of OC family stabbed; son in custody

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody Friday morning after he allegedly stabbed his 53-year-old father, 57-year-old mother and 14-year-old sister at a home in Stanton.

Deputies were called about 12:50 a.m. to the 11100 block of Irwin Drive and located the three family members with stab wounds and the suspect's girlfriend with a contusion to the face, according to Lt. E. Manhart of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

All four victims were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Manhart said.

In the course of the investigation, authorities discovered that the suspect had gotten into an altercation with his family members prior to the stabbings, Manhart said.

The suspect also suffered unspecified injuries, but was taken into custody.
