241 toll road in Orange County expected to reopen on Friday

The 241 toll road in Orange County a very popular access route through that area has been shut down since Monday due to the 'Canyon fire 2.'

But now there's some good news for frustrated commuters.

Thursday afternoon, transportation officials announced that the 241 is tentatively expected to re-open by two, Friday afternoon.

The road has been closed between the 91 freeway and Santiago Canyon Road as the firefighting operations continued.

Officials say the road must be inspected by Caltrans, CHP, and other agencies - to make sure it's safe before it can be reopened.

Those inspections will happen on Friday.
