23-year-old man stabbed to death in Santa Ana Club
SANTA ANA, CA (FOX 11) - Police are looking for the suspect in a deadly stabbing after a night of fun and music was brought to a halt in Orange County Thursday night.
A punk rock showcase in Santa Ana ended with a 23-year-old man being stabbed to death at a new nightclub called Underground DTSA located at 210 E 3rd Street.
The show was part of a weekly event dubbed "Top Acid Thursdays." The venue had five punk bands scheduled set to play. Santa Ana Police say around 10:35, during the second act, the victim was stabbed.
"There was approximately 50 people in a mosh pit when an altercation breaks out, a fight happens, the suspect stabbed the victim, the victim makes it outside and that's where he collapses." Corporal Anthony Bertagna says.
The man was rushed to the UCI Medical Center in Orange where he later died.
The club was immediately shut down after the stabbing.
The suspect is described as a hispanic male in his 20's wearing a black t-shirt.
