2 officers injured in Reseda shooting, suspect dead

Two police officers were injured and a suspect was killed in a shooting Monday in Reseda.

The shooting occurred about 10:30 a.m. near Hamlin Street and Corbin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information was not immediately available on the gender or identity of the fatally wounded person, who died at the scene.

One officer suffered a leg wound and the other suffered scrapes in the confrontation, which began with a chase of an allegedly stolen SUV. The chase led to the area of Hamlin and Corbin, where the suspect tried to flee on foot into an alley, where he was shot.

The two officers were seen being loaded into ambulances, but neither appeared to have suffered serious injuries.
