10 Freeway reopened after tanker truck carrying helium overturns near Baldwin Park
(FOX 11/CNS) - A tanker truck carrying helium overturned Tuesday night on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in the Baldwin Park area, forcing a full directional closure.
No one was injured in the wreck, according to a report from the scene.
The tanker overturned about 8:10 p.m. just east of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Eastbound traffic was diverted onto the San Gabriel River Freeway and a SigAlert was issued about 8:30 p.m., according to the CHP, which reported that the closure could last up to five hours.
A fire department hazardous materials crew was summoned to the scene, the CHP reported.
All lanes were open around 11:30 p.m.
