1 person dead after shooting in Pomona neighborhood

POMONA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Police are searching for a homicide suspect after a man was gunned down in a Pomona neighborhood Thursday night.

The shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of W. Grand Avenue, near Butterfield Road. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating a motive for the shooting. A description of the gunman has not been released.

No arrests have been made at this point. Police did not immediately release additional information.
