3.2 earthquake shakes area west-northwest of Johannesburg, California
MIRA LOMA, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A moderate earthquake whose epicenter was north of Palmdale was felt over a wide area of Southern California this morning.
The magnitude-3.2 earthquake centered 10 miles west-northwest of Johannesburg struck at 9:26 a.m. at a depth of about 3 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
People reported feeling the jolt over a wide area, including Tehachapi, Mojave and Barstow.
According to the Earthquake Track website, numerous people reported feeling the quake within the first hour.
